Our Organization:
Mission The mission of The City of Children of Matamoros A.C. is to provide a safe, secure, healthy, and nurturing environment for children who have been abandoned and do not have food, shelter, or enough clothing to survive within their community. In addition, it is our mission to provide educational and training opportunities, which will afford these children a chance to become independent and productive citizens, who will eventually give back and support other children in need in the future. Organization The City of Children of Matamoros A.C. is a non-profit organization designed to function in perpetuity. All members of the board are volunteers and receive no compensation for their involvement on the board. The board operates from bylaws that clearly define organizational parameters and ensures that all donations and resources are specifically earmarked for the support of abandoned children. The board is deigned to have a broad representation of community leaders, educators, businesses, religion, service organizations, and community representatives from Mexico and the United States, to serve with the one common purpose of helping others in need. Services Provided Our primary service focuses on building and operating a high quality orphanage for abandoned children, which provides them with food, shelter, safety, security, education, vocational skills, high values, spirituality, and the means to be able to become productive and contributing citizens in their respective community. In addition, we have and continue to provide various levels of support to existing orphanages in need.
